About Me

Kiara Haines graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a BFA in Animation in 2023. She worked on the student short film "Fred and Frankie" and the short episodic short, "The How Book" while at SCAD. Most recently, she worked on an independent short film, "SnowBugs".

Kiara has always loved animation while growing up. You would most likely see her doodling in her notebook. She became fascinated with becoming an animator after watching a behind-the-scenes documentary of Frozen. She was intrigued about how these animators would bring life to such interesting characters. Another thing that inspired her was her interest in Vocaloid music. Many songs have a video with an animated character dancing to music. These inspirations helped her find her way to create her own animations. She has been practicing animation ever since.

Other than animation, Kiara likes to create and draw characters. She also likes to play a variety of video games, from first-person shooters to simulations. Lastly, she has a twin sister who is also pursuing animation. So you may see an animator with a very similar name to hers. It is not a typo, they are just twins!
